"Marcel" is a character portrayed by Harry Styles for One Direction's music video for Best Song Ever.
Background
Marcel the marketing guy who was hired working for Harvey and Jonny who are Hollywood film executives (played by band members Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson). Marcel pitches various ideas to One Direction for their new film. He shows them photoshopped pictures of the band in ridiculous outfits, all of which the band disagrees on. This begins to frustrate Marcel. He even hired a choreographer named Leeroy (played by Liam Payne) to demonstrate his ideas for new dance moves. Insulted by this attempt to box them into the boy band stereotype, the band erupts into the song and starts wreaking havoc by throwing things around the office. In the end Marcel is seen dancing with the band throughout the video.
