The Up All Night Tour is One Direction's first headlining tour. It was announced on September 27, 2011. Originally only touring in in the United Kingdom and Ireland, the tour was later extended to include Australia, New Zealand, and North America.
Background
One Direction announced the upcoming tour for the UK via video on September 27, 2011.[1] Tour dates for the second leg of the tour in Australia and New Zealand were announced on February 24, 2012, and went on sale on March 2, 2012.[2] On March 21, 2012, One Direction announced an extended North American leg of the tour.
